Ström Teknik was founded by Mechanical Engineers Erik Granstrom and Brian Hamstrom. After collaborating outside of their nine to five jobs for 15 years to design and develop products, they decided to follow their passion for innovation by starting Strom Teknik. Brian and Erik share a love for designing and analyzing all things mechanical, from aftermarket automotive accessories to ultralight outdoor equipment. They share a passion for mountain biking, backpacking, Subarus and above all, problem solving.

Erik Granstrom - Co-Founder, Principal

Erik has over 15 years of experience in mechanical engineering, project and program management, and technical leadership. Having worked across diverse industries including medical engineering, industrial design and fabrication, food and beverage equipment and processing, and construction design and management, Erik brings a wealth of knowledge and experience. Erik has a penchant for artistic design and brings a level of creativity to his work that is unmatched.

Brian Hamstrom - Co-Founder, Principal

Brian has over 15 years of experience in mechanical engineering, technical program management and product and program strategy. Brian helped build a successful medical device start up early in his career and has since worked developing novel manufacturing equipment, electromechanical systems and running high value capital projects and programs. Brian brings deep experience navigating regulated industries, developing program strategy and designing novel devices and equipment.
